    Examination of soil contamination is the system for mangement of "Specific soil pollution management facility", which is legislated in Soil Environment Conservation Act. Korea Environment Corporation has done the Examination of Soil Contamination since Nov. 1996. In addition, The company subjects soil and ground-water to prevention by leakage of oil and a toxic substance through Soil Environmental Assessment, Detailed Soil Survey and Soil Purification. We are focusing on the prevention of public health and conservation of national land by minimizing the damage that is caused by Soil contamination.

Article 13(Examination of Soil Contamination), Enforcement degree Article 8(Examination of Soil Contamination on Specific Facilities Subject to Control of Soil Contamination)

  • The installer of the facilites subject to the control of sepcific soil contamination shall, under the conditions as prescribed by the Presidential Decree, undergo an examination of soil contamination on the site of relevant facilities and the areas around it from a soil-related specialized agency : Provided, That the same shall not apply to a case where it is impossible to collect soil samples or the head of Si/Gun/Gu approves that it is not necessary to examine soil contamination and it falls under the requirements that are determined by the Presidential Decree.
